Asian man spat on, kicked repeatedly and told 'Go back to China' at McDonald’s in Maryland
Man, I tell you this, Asians have been going through it ever since COVID-19 hit. I don't like when anybody gets discriminated against for who they are. However, I am going to say this, I remember, before COVID-19, Asians were racist as hell. They made my life into a living hell in Cali when I was young. Asians, both male and female, were racist. However, the women were racist out of control. They made my life terrible at college. They would blurt out insults about black men at school, they were racist everywhere I turned. Now, they are getting a taste of what it feels like to be black. People should treat others like they want to be treated, because you never know when racism could happen to you.An Asian man allegedly fell victim to a racist and violent attack at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Rockville, Maryland, last month. The incident occurred while Shang Wang was ordering his usual Diet Coke at the restaurant along the 1300 block of Rockville Pike just before noon on June 25, according to a recent report. “It seemed like he [the driver] was on the phone,” Wang told 7News.Tags: None

It's shameful on their part that they thought it was appropriate to treat you like that. It's pretty disturbing.
Regarding the news story it doesn't surprise me how the article hasn't made this into a story that focuses on the race of the attacker, unlike the stories that were supposed to reflect our people attacking asians.

It's a shame to hear you had to navigate all of that. Did a unified black community form in Cali to offset the effect of things like that? For instance, maybe there was a push to buy black and build strong social relationships across the community. Dealing with all of that nonsense on top of the police factor is some b.s.
It's interesting to hear that there was a point where Asians reached "honorary white" status in the US, as from across the pond I haven't had much exposure to how things are on the ground over there.
I briefly saw your book too, congrats on taking the plunge to become an author. It'd be interesting to know if there was a link between the experiences you went through and what inspired you to create a space for black people online.
