  • Brittney Griner's Russian imprisonment has been worse than she imagined, new details about her detainment reveal.

I bet it's pretty rough being in those Russian prisons. I'm sure it's pretty rough being in prison period.
From infrequent showers to regular headaches, the WNBA superstar is struggling as her wrongful detainment in Russia stretches into its ninth month.

Thank you for sharing this article. I would like to put my two cents in This article. I understand this is a very hard situation for Griners with the canibus oil in her luggage while traveling there for tournament. Let's be clear. Russian gulags are no Joke. It make American Alcatraz look like candy store. It reminds me about reading what happened to a small amount of black people leaving America to Russia in the back in 30s for a new life in communist Russia. They worked hard and became very functional people under the iron Kurt. Not only that they survived the time to great Russian purge. How this happend we may never know from the historical records, but I have one theary, the oppression of the American white supremacy for hundreds of years make black people aware of the mood in the area that they are in when trouble is happening and there only option is to and I hate to say this, put there head down work hard and long. It worked but with sacrifices. Now I'm from the long rant what does this have to do with Brittany. When your entering a new country your respect to your pride and freedoms go out the window once you land. She is America and part of the LGBT community, now I'm not saying because she is these description it's her fault. But under of Russia's political climate they are very anti, LGBT and American. Now this includes the war in ukraine, NATO and America involvement does not help her. She was prison for these political chess game. It's not right. There should be more help to bring her back to America. And also America congratulations on your now directive on trying to legalize marijuana and decriminalizing it overtime in your Congress. But we need to focus her to come home not because, she is black, LGBT, and american, because it's the right thing to do. And its a reminder they our struggles in america black and in the world is still a problem and we need to address it for the betterment of the future.
