This was not only impressive but a major feat in Humanity's production of Fusion Energy. I understand that is taking years for people to understand why this is very important for Humanity . The reason why this is a very important article that you posted here is that they produce net positive production of energy . If you're wondering what that means let me put this into a perspective so you can understand it . In order to create the chamber you need to increase the power in order to keep the contained energy aka the magnetic energy coils to sustain the plasma in order to hold the fusion reaction in place . For example for one Fusion reactor you must use two nuclear plants to sustain the magnetic coil energy . What this breakthrough just did was for every energy that is put into to contain the energy you've now created net positive not negative net positive energy coefficients.This is awesome. And I hope everybody could understand what I was talking about lol. The examples that I used were for tomahawk reactors AKA The Donut lol.

I want to understand the waste product side of things as well, is it like fission? As in we need to bury the waste?
