Trudeau makes first step in controversial gun buyback program

  • #2
This is not new. Yet this is controversial , but Australia did the same thing in the '90s and did a full gun buyback program. The problem lies on the Distributors and the whole sellers at the gun stores for those buyback programs as well as the people who have registered gun licenses for assault weapons slash gun components that can be used in assault style form. Next is also the rural areas especially indigenous communities up north with this problem as well. Even though they have a long gun and a shotgun licensing in the area some prefer the assault style weapons when it comes to hunting. It is a very complex situation when it comes to gun owners in Canada but everyone all agrees that a form of gun control when it comes to mass violence can be controlled by registered gun owners. But because of the Nova Scotia mass shooting that has come into question as to which weapon can be used in this context of banning certain style of weapons. I highly recommend people who have an interest in reading about gun control in other countries to read up on it and understand how the laws work. I understand the United States has a very heated topic when it comes to gun control but you have to understand when it comes to mass shootings yours is one of the highest in the entire planet. And this is not to insult any of the Americans who are on this blog site. This is based on American culture and weather you are for or against the idea of registered firearms being in any form of debate or topic or legislation within your government or communities.
