NYU professor says fewer men going to college will lead to a 'mating crisis'....
Thank you for sharing this article. What I find as a key point in this article is this quote "He said the most "unstable violent societies in the world," all have one thing in common: "Young depressed men who aren't attaching to work, aren't attaching to school, and aren't attaching to relationships." I think this speaks volumes. I believe in a equal opportunity for all, this involves college or other higher forms of education. The only issue is keeping that 50/50 present between men or woman or other in enrolment and in graduation. The environment in the colleges need to be balanced with both genders getting every opportunity to learn and grow, but if the pendulum tips like this article states there will be future problems in the end for growth in any society.
My husband was a janitor when I met him. He stepped up and raised 3 children that were not related to him biologically and we just celebrated 28 years together. I really didn't care whether he had a degree or not. All that matters is that he was and still is a wonderful stepdad and husband. I have 3 degrees and have never cared that he didn't.
