I had to read this out loud to my husband. Now we're both pissed. Sigh. My husband lived and worked in NYC when stop & frisk was very popular with the NYPD overseers. He said it was humiliating and scary. Every. Damn. Time. My husband does not now nor has he ever had a criminal record. That won't stop them from treating you like one though, will it?

I feel and understand your situation, my family has been stopped by cops as well in Canada. It may be different but the struggles are the same. We must push for our rights to live in our communities in our institutions.
