I am going to be honest. The racism that blacks deal with can be disabling. I remember moving out to California from Virginia, and experiencing the racism. It caused me to be extremely depressed for years. I began to develop serious anxiety just going outside. I mean it was everywhere I turned. It seemed like everybody hated black men. I thought that California was supposed to be more liberal than the South. It isn't. Things may have gotten better these days post COVID and George Floyd. However, back in the early 2000's, racism was off of hook.
