Yeah, they were saying he was lazy because he wasn't putting in the work to make not just consistent but any weight losses according to the schedule he was supposed to for the fight. Yeah Jake Paul challenged him at cruiserweight and Hasim Rahman Jr. signed the contract claiming it would be light work to make that fight weight.
I don't know to be fair, Jake Paul has pulled off some interesting upsets albeit not against dedicated boxers. I think he must have a high boxing IQ that he plays down with his various antics, which makes it hard for me to pick Hasim Rashman Jr. as the clear winner.
