  • Anybody on here running Windows 11?

Is anybody on here running Windows 11? They offered it to me as a free upgrade for my desktop and laptop. I turned it down. I am sure that Windows 11 probably has some compatibility issues. I am sure that I can run it on my desktop. My desktop is a 32-core computer, with 128 gb of ram. However, I just don't feel like upgrading right now.

Be very slow to change over and it will be best to build a system for Windows 11 and never upgrade to it as you will not be able to roll it back. There will be serious issues if you do, most likely.

The published system requirements for Windows 11 are as follows:
    • Processor: 1GHz or faster with two or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or system on a chip (SoC)
    • RAM: at least 4GB
    • Storage: at least 64GB of available storage
    • Security: TPM version 2.0, UEFI firmware, Secure Boot capable
    • Graphics card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later, with a WDDM 2.0 driver
    • Display: High definition (720p) display, 9" or greater monitor, 8-bits per color channel
The older systems will still be able to run Linux. People should look into Linux anyway and if you write software for the windows platform, you should convert your code to .NET / MONO and see how well the byte code compiles for Linux distros.

I agree with you. I don't want to run Windows 11 yet, I think putting it on my computers would cause compatibility issues. I'm fine with Windows 10.
